Finally, we have our tickets! I guess all of that bird in the hand stuff paid off, because we saved about $500 per ticket by waiting. I guess I should stick to teaching:) We are leaving on the 21st, only 9 days away, flying via New York and Dubai and arriving in Ethiopia on the morning of the 23rd. One of the best things about our trip besides flying with Emirates, is that we have a night in Dubai with a free hotel from Emirates. So not only will we get a bit of sleep in a bed before we hit Addis, but we'll be able to check out Dubai as well. (We are still travelers at heart:) We are leaving Addis on the 30th and will be back in Denver on the 31st. Wow, this is REALLY happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy cow that is so awesome! Congratulations Mary - we are very excited for you, and a bit jealous about your Dubai excursion. Enjoy every minute of it.
