Yes, I am aware that we are now into 2008, but in the adoption world in China we have just made it into 2006. This week China has placed babies up to January 4, 2006. When you adopt through China and all of your paperwork reaches the country you are given a Log In Date or LID. Our LID is 8/29/06 which means that we have been waiting for our little girl for just over 18 months and quite honestly there is no end in sight. I believe that we have at least another 2 years before we will be planning our trip to China. As they say, when God shuts a door he opens a window and in my eyes that window is Ethiopia. Someday we'll have our family all together, but when is anyone's guess!
