I hate to even type these words, but the reality is staring me in the face...Yonas may be getting down to only one nap a day. For about the last week I have been putting him down for his 2 naps with him only really sleeping during one, sometimes it's the morning and sometimes it's the afternoon. I'm not willing to give it all up just yet, but I see it in the not so near future. It's a sad day in the Hanson house:(

Oh, Mary!!! I soo remember those days (when we only had haan) and i LOVED the 2 naps a day. I cut Eden off 2 naps at about 14 months old. she now takes one 2-2 1/2 hour nap per day--not too bad, but I can soo relate!
All I can say is I have LOVED the single 2.5 to 3 hours long nap (depending if he is teething or congested then more like 2). I think he worked naturally towards it at 15 months but started iy at daycare at 14 months. Good luck, your baby is getting big - can you believe it!
Oh...I feel your pain. Nikki stopped taking 2 naps at 12 months. The last two weeks she has only been taking about a 1 hour nap a day! She is just not a sleeping kid like her sister was. I am hoping that being back in daycare will get her in a better routine.
i was never even lucky enough to have a double-napping child. always single naps per day. but they were of the 2.5-3 hour variety. if it's any consolation, ruth (age 6) still naps on weekends - especially if we know we'll be up late.
