A Dream

Growing up I always wanted a pool. We had the space, but my parents never saw the importance of the pool as I did. We were members of a local community pool, which I LOVED, and have great memories of. I was a member of the swim team, The Thunder Chickens, and I looked forward to swimming at practice in the morning and then hanging at the pool the rest of the day with my friends. That was the life! Well, Yonas now has his OWN pool. It's a bit smaller than the pool I envisioned for myself years ago, but he LOVES it anyway. Here is our little swimmer!mer!

oh, to be a thunder chicken! that truly WAS the best. i specifically remember hanging out at the pool, slathering ourselves with baby oil, and cooking ourselves to a burnt crisp. ah, those were the days! remember riding on lewise avenue to your piano lesson in the middle of the swimming day? happy swimming, yoni!
