Finally...................Cheerios!

Looking at Yonas, you would never think that he is a picky eater, but unfortunately he is. Yesterday he finally ate a Cheerio and now he'll eat them whenever I put them on his tray. Yeah! Prior to this he would pick them up and throw them to Chichi, our dog. Yonas doesn't like bananas, avocados, yogurt, all the typical things that babies love. We have discovered that he will try almost any food when he is OUT of his highchair and WE are eating it. Last weekend he tried pizza, sausage, bread, but the minute that we put him in his chair and tried the same foods he clamped his lips shut. Any advice?

YAY, cheerios are the BEST.. maybe he would like a booster (with straps of course) so he can eat off the table with you. How'd the sausage go - we haven't tried that yet?? He loves pizza though.

i agree with the booster idea. we had a chair the clamped to the table that the kids were buckled into. hooray for the cheerios!

We have Nikki in a booster too...just like her older sister. She went through a phase though where she wouldn't eat anything...she didn't want to touch it. It took her about a month to get her really eating most things. That has happenend only in the last couple weeks. Sometimes she will only eat from a fork. She likes to do it herself. So I stab the food and she uses the fork herself to push it in her mouth. Go Steelers Sunday!
