Do They Know It's Christmastime?
I am sure that you have probably heard this Christmas song a few hundred times since it came out in 1986, yes 1986, by Band Aid. I know that I have and sung along to it with Boy George and the gang. Well, this year when I hear it I get all choked up. It means SO much more to me now that we have Yonas and have had our eyes opened in Ethiopia. One of the lines is "And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime...The greatest gift they'll get this year is life." How true is that? I know that adoption isn't for everyone, but encourage and support those around you who are talking about adoption. It is a rough road, but such an amazing one!

I do the same thing with that song! It makes for a lot of tears since it is played every 5 minutes. :) Merry Christmas!

It came out in 1984 in the UK and was the first record I ever owned!
Hope you had a lovely first Christmas together as a family. I saw your (Chris') Mum, Dad and Lucy yesterday. Dorothy/Grandma was proudly passing around a colour print out of this very photo. Best wishes, Philippa
