A Smashing Success

Yesterday I went to my first garage sale in decades. For some reason, my mom was never into garage sales, so I don't have garage saling in my blood. I went with two good friends, who are also fabulous moms, to 2 community garage sales to search for baby gear. We had a great time looking for treasures and here are a few of the things I brought home: A jog stroller, $20; an umbrella stroller, free-thanks Kristin; a baby sled with sides and a seatbelt, $2 for all of our snowy adventures next winter; a snuggli carrier, $3 to carry our little one around Addis and London; lots of baby clothes, ranging in price from 25 cents to $2; about 12 novels, from 25-50 cents since I will be a stay at home mom next year and reading a lot! So what do you think? Not too bad for a first timer!! (This picture is kinda what we looked like on Saturday:)

Get used to it...garage sales and second hand shops are wonderful. Not sure if they have mom to mom sales in Colorado, but they are wonderful around here. I bought Hannah a big pink house for outside for $50 and grandma's basement is the big hit with the grandkids...all garage sale items. I must agree with Paula...good luck finding the time to read the books! :)
