5 Years Old

We celebrated Yonas' 5th birthday with some of our friends and neighbors this week.  Our boy definitely is loved!

The Holidays

This was our busiest holiday season to date, and it ended yesterday with a New Year's Eve party with our neighbors, 33 people in all, at our house.  What a wonderful holiday season we had!

New York, New York

Chris was having serious big city withdrawl, so we took a little vacation to New York City.  The boys loved their first experience of a big city, and we were happy to be in an international city again.

We had to battle a little rain the first few days.

Back to School

We are all thrilled to be back to school.  Yonas is now in the afternoon pre-school.  I know these photos are a bit far away, but I love the series!

Evaporated

A week ago we watched this fire starting from our front porch.  We packed up a few things and were evacuated at 1 am by the police.  When the fire first started Yonas kept asking,"When are we going to evaporate?"  We stayed with some amazing friends who spoiled our family and felt blessed by all of the thoughts, prayers and generous offers that we recieved from family, colleagues, neighbors, and friends.  We hope that this is the first and last time that our family ever has to be 'evaporated'.
